Thank you for this breakdown. Shit like this reminds me that I am not welcome in fitness spaces, but seeing breakdowns like yours reminds me that there are a few beacons of light here and there.

I’m gonna “set boundaries” and keep doing my own thing, regardless of what these ignorant haters spew. lol sigh.

In the same vein as "walking toward x" is ableist, I'm going to throw in "stand up for x" as in "stand up for what you believe in" is also ableist. It's easy enough to change "walk" to "move" and "stand up for" to "support."

But now that has me thinking--what about phrases like "throw in the towel" or "strongarm" someone into doing something. Are those ableist as well since there are people with limited or no use of upper limbs?
